Twenty-Second Annual

Charter Oak Rally

May 23-26, 2008

If this sign at the entrance to the rally site didn't catch your eye,

then you might have missed the beautiful weather and great rally.

Attendees were arriving quickly at the registration area,

keeping Jim, Brian and Bill busy.

Harriet, Jim and Bob were keeping the chili and fixin's flowing,

while Bob and Chris manned the back of the kitchen.

After some chili, some found it was time to plan the next days ride . . .

. . . others found it time to sit and share stories . . .

. . . or pose for pictures with your newest rally mug in hand . . .

. . . or to find a quiet spot to read.

A future rider was zooming around showing his preference for high-rise handlebars.

The fantastic weather made outside a great place to be,

just ask Millie, Mike, John, Judi or April.

First time Charter Oak Ralliers enjoyed the outside too.

These brothers kept all smiling by following their

personal "arriving just at the last moment" schedule for most meals.

Walking around the camp at 5:30AM is very peaceful.

Even the moon was still out.

Jim was already busy with the home fries . . .

. . . making sure there were plenty for everyone.

Ed made sure the coffee was ready for all

searching for their first morning cup.

.

Registration continued to keep Brian, John and Maria busy at times.

By early afternoon, the meat was ready for trimming, seasoning and cooking for dinner . . .

. . . and plenty would be cooked for everyone.

John was trying to stay tear free as he chopped onions for the salad . . .

. . . Larry used his presidential experience and took charge of the lettuce . . .

. . . while Bob chopped the tomatoes.

As usual, there was always someone ready to start the line for dinner.

You're never too young or too old to look at the bikes . . .

. . . but after a long day a nap may be just what's needed.

Sunday and Monday continued the great weekend
